Description

“Vuelo Onirico” — available exclusively at And-Art Works — is a minimalist and abstract work by Annabel Andrews, created with pigments and acrylic on canvas. Its square format, with a sober and elegant composition, invites slow contemplation and a poetic encounter with conceptual contemporary art.

The painting unfolds in two planes: on the left half, a vibrant pink field dominates, while at the top emerges a dense black form, so powerful it seems to overflow beyond the canvas. On the right side, a suspended black oval is traced with energetic precision, casting an oval shadow across the raw canvas, evoking the mystery of levitation and suspended flight. A delicate yellow line crosses the surface like a subtle beam of light — almost imperceptible, yet adding a warm, subliminal glow to the composition.

Inspired by Gaston Bachelard’s “Air and Dreams”, Andrews explores the sensation of flight as a metaphor for thought. This piece belongs to the Vuelo Onírico series, in which the artist investigates visual freedom, gestural painting, and maximum formal simplicity, transforming the canvas into a space where color and line ascend toward a near-spiritual experience.

“Vuelo Onirico” is available as a premium Fine Art giclée print on canvas, faithfully reproducing the original with high-quality finishes that ensure chromatic intensity, sharpness, and durability. A piece that combines the strength of contemporary abstract art with the subtlety of color, ideal for collectors, interior designers, and art lovers seeking exclusive works to transform spaces with elegance, poetry, and modernity.

"On beginning to wonder why art has been important to me through so many years, and knowing that vitality dies with an excess of reason, I could talk about the balance between instinct and reason, and how to express myself technically with materials and colour through spontaneous intuition -with an aesthetic feeling - for a cluster of forms and colors arranged to stir the reader in a way that music does.

In an outer world of chaos : abstract painting can appeal to our senses to find psychic equilibrium."
