Description
As daylight fades, there are places where light transforms architecture into colour. In Puerto Banús, Annabel Andrews captures that luminous atmosphere through a refined abstract composition that evokes the elegance, rhythm, and character of the iconic Mediterranean marina without relying on literal representation.
Created in 2026 using acrylic and pigments on cotton duck canvas, the painting brings together geometry and emotion in perfect balance. Expansive planes of pink, violet, and blue interact with accents of orange, green, and black, creating a visual structure in which colour becomes an architectural element. Layered surfaces, subtle transparencies, and softened edges add depth and allow the composition to evolve as light and viewing distance change, revealing new nuances over time.
With its square format and sophisticated palette, Puerto Banús introduces a vibrant yet balanced presence to contemporary interiors. It is ideally suited to living rooms, dining areas, private offices, hospitality projects, and carefully designed architectural spaces where colour and abstraction enhance the atmosphere without overwhelming it.
Selected by And-Art Works as part of its curated international collection of contemporary art, Puerto Banús reflects our commitment to presenting original artworks distinguished by artistic excellence, authenticity, and their ability to create a lasting dialogue with architecture, design, and contemporary living.

"On beginning to wonder why art has been important to me through so many years, and knowing that vitality dies with an excess of reason, I could talk about the balance between instinct and reason, and how to express myself technically with materials and colour through spontaneous intuition -with an aesthetic feeling - for a cluster of forms and colors arranged to stir the reader in a way that music does.
In an outer world of chaos : abstract painting can appeal to our senses to find psychic equilibrium."
