Description

Part of the "Faces Without Face" series, this small-format sculpture by José Manuel Chamorro distills his essential sculptural language into a minimal linear structure that subtly suggests the outline of a face or human profile without fully defining it. Crafted in forged iron and anchored on a cement base, the piece creates a material contrast between the lightness of the drawn line and the solidity of its support, generating a subtle tension between presence and absence.

With clear influences from minimalist art and abstract sculpture, Chamorro explores the concept of identity through the economy of line, resulting in a work marked by restrained expression, emotional geometry, and visual strength. This modern sculpture, light yet impactful, is ideal for contemporary art collectors seeking artworks that merge industrial materials with a poetic sensibility.

is a series defined by the geometric outline of one or more faces, shown in profile or front view, using only the minimal elements necessary for recognition—in other words, the absence of full identity. These works fall within the realm of conceptual expressionism.
