There are moments in Annabel Andrews’ practice when memory, architecture, and intuition converge into a single vision. Modules (2016) is born from one of those moments — an inner image shaped by the idea of ancient urban structures seen from above, where geometric layouts become silent traces of human history. Andrews transforms that contemplation into color, form, and space, creating a composition that feels both grounded and quietly transcendent.

Painted in acrylic and casein glue on cotton duck canvas, Modules reveals the artist’s signature surface: a luminous ground prepared with zinc white pigment diluted in casein, giving the raw cotton a soft radiance and tactile presence.
