Description

“Lírica XII” belongs to the Lírica series, a body of work on paper in which José Manuel Chamorro explores the expressive potential of color, material, and free geometry. Created with liquid wax and gouache, the piece unfolds in an abstract and expressionist language, where geometric forms dissolve into a play of chromatic tension and subtle textures.

Dominated by tones of yellow, purple, and blue, the composition gradually merges into a reddish background that provides the work with a lyrical and vibrant atmosphere. This chromatic dialogue enhances the sense of depth and resonance, inviting the viewer to experience the piece through an open and emotional perspective.

Measuring 52 x 37 cm (without frame) and 75 x 52 x 3.5 cm (with frame)-28.3 x 20.5 x 1.4 inches-, the work is presented as a visual space where sensitivity and experimentation converge. Through superposition and transparency, Chamorro builds a conversation between the organic and the structured, positioning his work within the field of emerging contemporary art.

With its poetic and experimental character, “Lírica XII” connects with the traditions of geometric abstraction and lyrical expressionism, offering a refined approach to the evocative power of materials and color. Professionally framed and ready to be exhibited, it stands out both for its aesthetic strength and its significance within Spanish contemporary art.
