Description

“La Hospederia” — available exclusively at And-Art Works — is an emblematic work by Annabel Andrews, created in 1985 with oil on canvas and now offered as a Fine Art giclée print on premium canvas.

In a vertical format, the painting portrays an impressionist autumn woodland landscape, where the line of trees in the foreground leads the eye toward the background, revealing the historic house that gives the artwork its name: La Hospedería. The composition glows with intense tones of orange, blue, and pink, evoking the radiance of nature in autumn in a colorist interpretation that balances expressive strength with the serenity of the architectural setting.

The result is a vibrant and emotional artwork, where Andrews’ impressionist brushwork conveys movement, light, and life. Now, through its reproduction as a giclée print with the highest chromatic fidelity, La Hospedería becomes an exclusive contemporary art print.

Presentation: unframed canvas or with a floating wooden frame.

"On beginning to wonder why art has been important to me through so many years, and knowing that vitality dies with an excess of reason, I could talk about the balance between instinct and reason, and how to express myself technically with materials and colour through spontaneous intuition -with an aesthetic feeling - for a cluster of forms and colors arranged to stir the reader in a way that music does.

In an outer world of chaos : abstract painting can appeal to our senses to find psychic equilibrium."
