Description

Sculpture 0088 by José Manuel Chamorro belongs to his Faceless Faces series, a pictorial and sculptural investigation into the simplification of the human face through a minimalist and geometric approach. In this series, the artist explores expression and the human experience of pain, not so much in its physical dimension, but in its emotional and existential depth.

Crafted in oxidized iron, the work establishes a connection with the essence of the primordial mineral, integrating the passage of time as an active element of its visual language. The circular form of the eye, always present as the axis of the series, is combined with essential features of the nose, mouth, and facial outline, reduced to their minimal expression. The clarity of lines and sober geometry reinforce a contained expressive force that resonates with both silence and permanence.

Measuring 25 cm high x 16.5 cm wide x 16.5 cm deep (9.8 x 6.5 x 6.5 in), this small-format sculpture is suitable for both indoor and outdoor display. It embodies a dialogue between industrial matter and the poetry of silence, between the organic and the abstract, making it a refined and powerful piece for contemporary art collectors.
