Description
This small-format sculpture, made from sheet iron, belongs to José Manuel Chamorro’s Faces without Face. Inspired by the structure of a human face, the work embraces an abstract, minimalist, and geometric approach, where what is essential emerges from emptiness.
The iron has undergone a controlled oxidation process, making the passage of time an active part of the piece’s visual language. Its surface—ever-changing and alive—reveals an organic texture that enhances the expressive strength of the metal. Anchored in both the horizontal and vertical planes, the sculpture extends toward a symbolic horizon from within its oxidized silence.
Suitable for both indoor and outdoor display, this work embodies a dialogue between industrial matter and the poetry of silence, making it an ideal piece for contemporary art collectors who value material transformation as an integral part of the sculptural process.
