Description
“Naked Girls” by Juan Francisco Yoc is a captivating Fine Art Print based on the artist’s original black Chinese ink drawing on white paper. With expressive mastery and emotional depth, Yoc pays homage to Picasso and the groundbreaking spirit of “Les Demoiselles d’Avignon”, reinterpreting its essence through his own contemporary vision.
Rendered in a figurative yet expressionist style, the work depicts four nude women facing the viewer, framed by a deep black ink background that enhances the luminous white of the paper. The strong contrast creates a nocturnal atmosphere —a tension between light and shadow that draws the eye into the composition.
Yoc’s drawing bridges expressionism and cubism, revealing his remarkable skill as a draftsman. Each line feels alive, charged with rhythm, gesture, and emotion. The vertical composition emphasizes the presence and dignity of the figures, turning this piece into both a tribute and a reinvention of modernism.
This Fine Art Print is produced using the Giclée technique on 100% cotton textured paper, preserving the depth and purity of the original ink. Perfect for bedrooms, libraries, or refined interiors, “Naked Girls” brings a sense of artistic sophistication, strength, and emotional balance —a timeless black-and-white statement piece for collectors and design lovers alike.

Artist
Juan Francisco Yoc
Juan Francisco Yoc was born in Guatemala City in 1960. From 1978 to 1982, he studied art at the National School of Fine Arts (ENAP) in Guatemala. He emigrated to Spain, where he has resided since 1991.
He has held over forty solo exhibitions in Guatemala, Spain, France, and Italy.
He has taught drawing at ENAP and has collaborated as an illustrator for various books and publications.
"He began to find flow in his drawings during his studies at the National School of Fine Arts in the early 1980s, subtly distorting academic balance, and gradually achieved thematic, expressive, and conceptual coherence through the tough battles and experiences of exhibiting in various local galleries.
Later, starting in 1994 in Madrid, Spain, that inner world and its weight of conflicts led him to rigorously explore various drawing and painting techniques. These allowed him to express himself not only with greater fluidity but also with a heightened awareness of content and formal direction, and consequently, with greater finesse and diversity in his use of the expressive tools of his artistic language.
There is, without a doubt, a certain paradox in observing the refinement of the conceptual, formal, graphic, and painterly thread that defines what we might call his mature work—a maturity that, in his case, implies the acceptance of his nonconformity rather than a renunciation of his rebellious spirit."
